Can I browse illustrators by technique?

Yes — every illustrator profile lists their primary technique, and you can filter the roster by hand-drawn, digital, letterpress and collage to find a visual style that suits your occasion.

Do you take on new illustrators?

We open licensing submissions twice a year. Illustrators can register interest via our Licensing page and our studio reviews every submission personally.

Can I commission a bespoke range from a specific illustrator?

Our in-house Bespoke Studio handles commissions of 100 to 5,000 cards and can match you with an illustrator whose style suits your brief, from weddings to corporate gifting.

Our Promise

Every card begins as a conversation.

Really Fab Cards was started in a Brighton garden flat in 2014 by Anna Wexler, a former art director who wanted to put working illustrators — not stock imagery, not licensed clip-art — at the centre of a greeting card range. Eleven years on, the studio still commissions every design directly from an artist we know by name, and every brief is a conversation: about the occasion, the line of the drawing, the weight of the stock, the colour of the envelope.

We pay fair royalties on every unit sold, return unsold stock to the illustrator where requested, and credit the artist on the back of every card. We do not buy in bulk from a third-party catalogue, we do not white-label designs from overseas factories, and we do not pass off digital work as hand-drawn. When a card says hand-illustrated on the sleeve, it was drawn by a hand.

Hand-drawn

Ink, brush, watercolour. Pen on paper, photographed and printed at 350gsm. Look for the drawn tag on the card back.

Procreate and Affinity work, giclée-printed onto the same cotton stock. Always honestly labelled on the sleeve.

Pressed on a Vandercook or Adana. Each card is a small run of 200–400 — when it's gone, it's gone.
